Been a while

Well, a lot has happened since I last blogged. A couple of years have passed and now we find ourselves already in 2012. The most exciting event, though, was the birth of our baby boy, Jeremiah Trapper. He is 9 1/2 months old and he took his first step today. Being parents has been such a ride...way more exhilirating than the coaster pictured on our last blog. The first 8 weeks of Jeremiah's life was up hill and I wondered if this ride had any downhills....well much to my surprise, the downhills haven't stopped:) We are having a blast! From him rolling over, to eating solid food, to sitting up, to laughing, to saying dada, the fun continues.

We had a wonderful Christmas! We spent 10 days in Florida; the first couple of days were spent at the annual Holcomb Christmas party. Karen and Dad, you were right...we had to make it this year to show off our new addition:) The rest of our time was spent in south Florida hanging out with my parents. What a blessing to have such a big family...we leave exhausted but filled up! It was so awesome to have everyone together. Jesus Christ is the Prince of Peace but I go through the Christmas season hurried and and stressful. This year was better than the past years but I want to grow each year. Praise the Lord for His faithfulness!

2012 is off to a great start. God continues to be our Jehovah Jireh (Provider) and we are so excited to see all that our Lord has in store for this new year. I ran a race on Jan. 1 called the "Resolution Run" and memorized a verse that God has already used to keep me on track....Hebrews 13:5 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have. For God has said, "Never will I leave you, Never will I forsake you. I can't promise to blog every day but I will try a little more often than every two years:)

The Next Chapter

We finally got a blog up and going......I know, a little behind everyone but better late than never. After a great summer of travel and relaxation, we are full speed ahead with our new job. You might ask, "What is your new job?" Allow us to introduce Gutsy the Flying Fox. Check out our website at http://www.gutsytheflyingfox.com/. I don't have a full time job teaching but my plans are to substitute and be Kirk's right hand girl. My roles could vary from breaking down equipment, to full on emcee work, or showing off my talents. Only God knows!!! We launched the website and sent out emails to all elementary schools in Georgia and some in Alabama this past Tuesday. We have already booked a couple of shows and we are looking forward to many more. We appreciate your prayers. Keep us in mind if you have church or school contacts. What a ride!!

One additional note, we made a trip to Six Flags a few days ago, and here is a picture of the biggest coaster we rode (200 ft. tall......YIKES!!!)
